Coordinating Rough-In Timelines on Commercial TI Builds
Tenant improvements move quickly. The difference between a project that glides through inspections and one that stalls is communication between the GC, trades, and inspectors. Here’s how Faithful Plumbing keeps rough-ins on schedule.
Share the fixture matrix early
We create a fixture matrix that lists each location, rough-in elevation, valve spec, and any specialty requirements (trim finish, carrier loads, ADA clearances). Sharing it with the GC and framing crew prevents rework.
Lock daily stand-up times
A five-minute huddle each morning keeps electricians, HVAC, and plumbing aligned on who is occupying which zone. We bring updated as-builts to every huddle so any field deviations are captured immediately.
Stage inspections thoughtfully
- Underground inspections scheduled 48 hours ahead with standby crew for trench backfill.
- Wall rough-in inspection after pressure testing and before insulation installation.
- Final trim punch with the GC present so all owner changes are signed off in the same visit.
Document everything
Photo documentation of sleeves, anchors, and penetrations saves time if inspectors have questions or if owners request proof later. We store media in shared cloud folders so the GC has instant access.
